St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse | Review

I love getting spray tans but $30 a week is far too much for me. I was looking for a good alternative that gives me a not remotely orange and natural looking dark tan and I believe I've found it! The St. Tropez Dark Bronzing Mousse hit all the key points for me as it did not leave me streaky, did not wear off patchy, had no orange undertones, smelled great, and allowed me to achieve a deep dark tan for 7 days.

As for application I was using a tanning mitt, but I had once read that someone used latex gloves to put it on directly with their hands so I thought I'd try. Though I love using a mitt I find the gloves allowed me to work in all the product without losing any soaked up in the mitt. It's took a bit longer to rub the product in but the end result was perfectly even and dark.

This product can be a little scary when you first apply it because it looks green on your skin. You can see an example of that above where the darkest square is on my arm. After you let that sit in your skin for 8 hours (while you sleep) the second square is the amazing colour payoff. The last photo shows the natural deep tan it left my entire arm.

The downsides are that it stains your sheets.. you just can't escape that with a fake tanner! It's also quite pricey but the bottle does last for over 4 months of weekly tanning. You can find this product in Shoppers Drug Mart and Amazon.

Have you ever tried this self tanner? Let me know your thoughts below!
